This data focuses on the performance path and shows Tier levels from permitting data along with typical design inputs. This research asks questions such as:
- What strategies are builders currently using to achieve building performance targets?
- What individual building components are being used to achieve performance in a cost-effective manner?
- How does Part 3 compare to Part 9 in terms of meeting or exceeding performance targets, and why?
- Performance path is the dominant submission path in Alberta. How does performance path compare to prescriptive path in using cost-optimized solutions to achieve energy performance targets?
- How do different municipalities’ building performance compare, and why?
