Alberta Context: These videos were recorded from NRCAN’s LEEP Air Source Heat Pump training sessions from January 2025. All content is relevant to Alberta.

Summary: 

These recorded sessions are part of NRCAN’s Local Energy Efficiency Partnership (LEEP) workshop series, designed for engineers, architects, consultants, builders, renovators, energy advisors, HVAC professionals, electricians, and building officials. 

This training includes four modules focused on the selection and application of Air Source Heat Pumps in Alberta.

• Module 2: Mastering Control Systems for Optimal Heat Pump Performance
• Module 3:  Electrical Service Impacts of Heat Pumps
• Module 4: Sizing & Selection Web Application

Topics covered included F280 heat loss calculations and heat pump sizing, NRCan’s heat pump selection tool, control strategies for heat pump systems, and assessing electrical service capacities.
