Call for Volunteers – CLF Alberta

CLF Alberta, a local volunteer-run hub of the global Carbon Leadership Forum, is seeking motivated and passionate industry volunteers to join their team. Volunteers would work closely with the CLF Alberta team of volunteers to help promote the organization’s mission, raise awareness about embodied carbon programs, and engage with the community.

Volunteer Description

Position Title:

CLF Alberta Volunteer

Location:

Remote/On-site

Responsibilities:

  • Help plan and organize industry events, both virtual and in-person
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies and topic ideas to engage industry colleagues
  • Represent our organization at these events, meetings, and other forums
  • Collaborate with other volunteers to create marketing and outreach materials
  • Attend regular meetings (~once a month) with the volunteer team to discuss progress, share ideas, and brainstorm new initiatives
  •  

Qualifications:

  • Passion for embodied carbon and engagement
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to volunteer early evenings as needed for events
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, email marketing, and other digital outreach tools is an asset

Anyone with an interest in embodied carbon is welcome to apply; however, we’re also seeking those with subject matter expertise in:

  • Policy
  • Structural engineering
  • Architecture
